Current Uber Kenya requirements
Uber's published Kenya requirements should be checked immediately before purchasing a vehicle because eligibility can change by service category and over time.
As currently published, Uber's Kenya requirements state that ChapChap vehicles joining the platform must be 2016 or newer, with an engine capacity of 1,300cc or less. Uber also publishes separate requirements for Comfort, including a minimum model year of 2018 and additional vehicle requirements.
Do not buy a vehicle solely because an older Kenyan blog says it is Uber-eligible. Check Uber's current official eligibility requirements for the intended service category before purchasing.
